The weather predicted for the weekends seems finally to have dropped in. Its first casualty: jazz pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, whose trio was scheduled to play an al fresco concert in the Cistern at 9pm this evening. Spoleto organizers have announced that due to rain Pieranunzi’s concert will now take place in the Gaillard Exhibition Hall at 77 Cahoun St, whose floor at the moment is probably still sticky with Mohitos from last night’s Spoleto Soiree.

Thanks for the heads-up — I’m really looking forwward to this one. Pieranunzi and Patitucci (bass) were terrific as a duo at the Simons Center on Thursday evening. This trio gig should a winner.
